Daryl Thuroff

Nothing happens by accident. The universe steers us on a course that offers many options to choose from. As long as we listen to our own inner voice, we will choose our best path…and that is how Daryl Thuroff came to leave the advertising world and embark on the path to wellness.

Daryl is presently a NYS Licensed Acupuncturist, NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and Nationally Certified Herbalist. She is also an instructor in the massage program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.

Daryl’s practice is geared towards sports and orthopedics, chronic pain and stress management. She has experience in treating professional and amateur athletes ranging from former professional baseball players to MMA fighters, Olympic athletes, triathletes, marathoners and ”weekend warriors”. Treatments often include acupuncture, massage and herbal medicine to ensure optimal results.

Daryl’s Chinese medicine training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine allowed her to participate in important clinical settings such as a National Institute of Health research study for chronic pain management (Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NY), U.C. San Diego’s RIMAC center for student athletes and Seniors Clinic at Lutheran Church in San Diego.
 
Daryl is especially interested in tapping into the mind/body connection regarding treatment of physical injuries along with emotional stressors.
